WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that allows you to connect your Tangem Wallet to decentralized applications (dApps) on the web.
Step 1: Setup your Tangem Wallet
- Download the latest Tangem app version from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Deposit or swap assets for the native coin of the blockchain dApp you want to connect to. For example, you need to have SOL in your wallet before using Solana dApp via WalletConnect.
- Visit a dApp that supports WalletConnect, such as Raydium, Jupiter, OpenSea, PancakeSwap, and more.
- Click on the Connect Wallet button or a similar option on the dApp's homepage.
- Select WalletConnect from the list of available wallet options.
- Search for Tangem and tap/click on our logo. If you can't find Tangem, click on the WC QR code.
- Open the Tangem Wallet app on your smartphone.
- Tap the three dots at the upper-right corner of the homepage.
- Select WalletConnect and tap the + button. The Tangem app may need permission to access your smartphone's camera.
- Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the dApp.
- Review the connection details in the Tangem Wallet app.
- Tap Approve, enter your access code, and sign the transaction with your tangem device to authorize the connection to the Solana dApp.
Once connected, you can now use the Solana dApp swap tokens, participate in staking or yield farming, or access other decentralized finance (DeFi) services.
Tips for secure connection
- Always verify the authenticity of the dApp before connecting.
- Disconnect your wallet when you're done using the dApp to maintain security.
- Keep your Tangem Wallet app updated for the latest features and improvements.
- In case of connection errors, ensure both the app and dApp are on the latest version.
- Have enough SOL in your Tangem Wallet to cover transaction fees.
- Check for proper lighting and screen clarity if you experience QR code scanning issues.
